Dirty Girls - part 1

There is nothing quite like the thrill and anticipation of unwrapping a new, shiny Josef doll for the first time.
That instant when you catch your first glimpse of the fine, hand painted details....
The shiny glaze and gold accents....
The delicate features, and the dainty applied roses....

A glorious moment indeed!

But not all Josefs come out of the box ready to shelve, love, admire. adore, drool over, etc., etc..
Oh no, no, no!
Some arrive completely uncared for, with 20+ years of dust and grime caked into every nook and cranny, in dire need of some good, honest scrubbing.

It doesn't sound very desirable, but even the dirtiest of Josefs can still get my mouth watering. As much as I love unwrapping a perfectly clean doll, I love even more getting down and dirty with one during, what I refer to as, "bath time."
(Please remove from brain the image of me in a bathtub with my dolls!)

I just love spending some 1-on-1 time with my little, not-yet-so-pretty pretties, using my very professional cleaning kit (Q-tips and water) shining up the gold and gloss, ridding her of her years of neglect, and revealing the true awesomeness that is a Josef Original.

Shine my little beauties! Shine!

Below are examples of some of the filthy ladies I truly love getting up close and personal with.

I just love dirty girls!
